What Should I Do About a Knocked-out Tooth?

If a tooth has been knocked out of your mouth, rinse it in water and put it back in the socket right away. Place gauze over the tooth and apply light pressure, or use your tongue to keep it in place.
If you can’t put your tooth back in its socket, place it inside your cheek. Keeping your tooth in a glass of cow’s milk is another option.
Once your tooth leaves the socket, there is a limited time in which to reimplant. For the best chance of tooth survival, you’ll need to see a dentist within 60 minutes. Contact Dlight Dental and let the team know about your situation so they can create room in the schedule for you as quickly as possible.

What Can I Do About Pain in a Dental Emergency?

If you’re having severe dental pain, apply a cold compress to the outside of your jaw. This can significantly reduce your pain while creating a numbing effect. Never chew on ice when you have a dental emergency, as you could complicate the damage.
Before taking any medication, talk to the Dlight Dental team. Certain medications could potentially interfere with your dental treatment.
